The Lyrics — One Way Ticket.

  • Standing on the border.
  • Looking out into the great unknown.
  • I can feel my heart beating faster as I step out on my own.
  • There's a new horizon and the promise of favorable wind.
  • I'm heading out tonight, traveling light.
  • I'm gonna start all over again.
  • And buy a one way ticket on a west bound train.
  • See how far I can go (because I can).
  • Gonna go out dancing in the pouring rain.
  • Talk to someone I don't know (because I can).
  • I will face the world around me.
  • Knowin' that I'm strong enough to let you go.
  • And I will fall in love again.
  • Because I can.
  • [Instrumentals - Bridge]
  • Gonna climb the mountain.
  • And look the eagle in the eye.
  • I won't let fear clip my wings and tell me how high I can fly.
  • How could I have ever believed.
  • That love had to be so blind.
  • When freedom was waiting, down at the station.
  • All I had to do was make up my mind.
  • And buy a one way ticket on a west bound train.
  • See how far I can go (because I can).
  • Gonna go out dancing in the pouring rain.
  • Talk to someone I don't know (because I can).
  • I will face the world around me.
  • Knowing that I'm strong enough to let you go.
  • And I will fall in love again.
  • Because I can.
  • I have walked through the fire.
  • And crawled on my knees through the valley of the shadow of doubt.
  • Then the truth came shining like a light on me and now I can see my way out.
  • I'm gonna buy a one way ticket on a west bound train.
  • See how far I can go (because I can).
  • Gonna go out dancing in the pouring rain.
  • Talk to someone I don't know.
  • Gonna buy a one way ticket on a west bound train.
  • Gonna have my breakfast with some pink champagne.
  • Gonna sail the ocean, gonna spread my wings.
  • Gonna climb that mountain, gonna do everything.

Notes about Long Description Elements for Accessibility.

Long description links should be available for any graphic image within the Web content that conveys information. The long description for the particular image or graphic element contains a full narrative of the information that is visually available within the image. It is not necessary to provide any complex design elements within the long description. In fact, it is disadvantageous to do so since these types of content pages are meant to be interpreted by assistive technology user agents.

While the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 refer to graphics for the use of Long Descriptions, audio files for hearing impairments should also include a Long Description.

This current page is an example of that use. Lyrics for the music are provided. In addition, a link to the audio file that will play within Windows Media Player is included.

Windows Media Player incorporates ‘visualizations’. The visual themes flash colored graphics that change with the tempo, amplitude and frequency of the music that is being played. Such visualizations aide considerably in the interpretation of the music for those with hearing impairments. Combined with vibrations of the audio that are produced during playback, people with hearing impairments can and do interpret and feel music.

For those Web visitors who have configured their own preferred audio playback application, a standard link to the audio should also be provided.
